At NBC on Main, we believe that salvation is the foundation of a life transformed by God. It’s the greatest gift anyone can receive—freedom from sin, a restored relationship with God, and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
What Is Salvation?
Salvation is God’s gift of grace to humanity. It’s not something we can earn or achieve on our own. Through His sacrifice on the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins, offering us forgiveness and a fresh start. By placing our faith in Him, we accept this gift and begin a new life as children of God.
Why Do We Need Salvation?
The Bible tells us that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God, but through Jesus’ death and resurrection, the barrier is removed. Salvation restores our connection with God and brings purpose, hope, and peace to our lives.
How Do I Receive Salvation?
Receiving salvation is a simple yet profound step of faith. It begins with acknowledging your need for God and believing that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Here’s how you can respond:
-
Admit you are a sinner and need God’s forgiveness.
-
Believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again.
-
Confess Jesus as your Savior and commit your life to following Him.
Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (KJV).
What Happens Next?
When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you begin a lifelong journey of faith. God’s Spirit will guide and strengthen you as you grow closer to Him. At NBC on Main, we’re here to walk alongside you, offering support, encouragement, and resources to help you in your faith.
